Peter Thursby

Pete is a Managing Director and leads the Middle Market Investment Banking coverage in the Central and Eastern US. In his current capacity, Pete partners with colleagues across the firm to deliver investment banking products and solutions to a broad group of Commercial and I&CB clients across the US.

Prior to BMO’s acquisition of Bank of the West, Pete led Bank of the West’s Upmarket Coverage group comprising Senior Bankers aligned by industry or geographically.  The team was responsible for establishing and executing relationship strategies for selected mid-cap clients, including coordinating with relationship and product partners in targeting extensive relationships leveraging the Bank’s traditional and capital markets capabilities.  Prior to joining Bank of the West as a Senior Banker, Pete had a series of leadership roles including Managing Director and head of Debt Capital Markets coverage for Wells Fargo’s 45 commercial banking offices in its central region, Executive Vice President and head of the Client Solutions Group (all ancillary commercial products) at Associated Bank, and Managing Director and head of Loan Syndications at LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO.  Pete started his banking career at Continental Bank/Bank of America in both Loan Syndications and Corporate Banking.

Pete has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and BA from the University of Notre Dame and maintains Series 79 and 63 FINRA licenses.  He currently lives in Park Ridge, IL and has four grown children.
